How to search it

  1. Open the official search and choose a search by business or entity name.
  2. Type a distinctive part of the name; leave out “LLC” or “Inc.” if nothing comes up.
  3. Open the matching record to see its status, filing history and registered agent, as far as the state publishes them.

You can still check companies on USACIP

USACIP searches companies registered with the SEC, nonprofits in IRS data, federal records, and the state registries we already cover.

Use the official business search of the Nevada Secretary of State: https://esos.nv.gov/EntitySearch/OnlineEntitySearch.

Does USACIP search Nevada companies?

Not Nevada’s registry yet. USACIP can still find companies through SEC filings, IRS nonprofit data and federal records. For Nevada filings, use the official Nevada Secretary of State search.

How do I check if a business name is available in Nevada?

Search the name on the official Nevada Secretary of State site first: a name already on file there is a sign it may be taken. The state makes the final decision when you file or reserve the name.
